Enhancing Quality of Your Mobile VoIP Business

Mobile VoIP business has become a safe bet for service providers who are willing to make quick money at low investments. But, ensuring quality services is very important in mobile VoIP business otherwise service providers will not survive in the industry for a long time. In order to enhance and ensure quality mobile VoIP services, it’s effective to analyze the root cause of quality issues and fix them at the earliest opportunity. The following are some of the common issues which can be mitigated to ensure quality mobile VoIP services.

1. Echo
It is one of the commonest problems affecting the voice quality in mobile VoIP business. It happens when the microphone of the mobile handset picks up the voice from the earpiece and sends it back to the user. One of the simplest ways to mitigate echo issues is to lower down the mobile handset speaker volume so that echo doesn’t catch up. So, ask your customers to lower down the speaker volume on their mobile handsets if they are facing echo issues.

2. Poor Call Quality
The problem of poor call quality can be due to: insufficient bandwidth for VoIP calls, traffic congestion on network, low quality VoIP routes, etc. In order to address the insufficient bandwidth, ask your customers to switch off the background running apps which consume considerable bandwidth. In the case of traffic congestion, avoid overloading of the softswitch CPU while processing the calls as per its configured capacity. Finally, engage VoIP routes that offer decent call quality for particular destinations instead of going for cheap quality routes.

3. Call Drops/Call Disconnections
Insufficient bandwidth and VoIP blockages are the main suspects for call drops/call disconnections. By leveraging VoIP tunneling and bandwidth compression software, you can not only process VoIP calls in low bandwidth regions but also bypass high-end firewalls ensuring seamless VoIP calling experience.
